ILDS Update–Wednesday, January 16

In reviewing the closure dates that libraries provided in the fall, the vast majority will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2008. Therefore it has been determined that the 21st will be a non ILDS service day. Regular delivery service will resume on Tuesday, January 22, 2008.

ILDS Supplies
We’re still receiving several requests a day for bags. In order for the system to work most efficiently on a continual basis, it is important for sites that have an excess supply of bags to put them back into the system. Please send any excess bags directly to the Illinois State Library (ISL) using an item count of 1 in the label system, regardless of the number of bags in each bag. You should continue to send supply requests directly to CARLI at support@carli.illinois.edu.

ILDS Updates
Service questions and issues are decreasing as the delivery processes settle in and the need for updates is decreasing. Beginning the week of Tuesday, January 22, ILDS updates will be sent out 3 days/week. If you have any suggestions, or a message that you would like to get out please don’t hesitate to send it in and it will be included in the next.
